Article Processing Time

The Journal of Medical Research and Clinical Evidence (JMRCE) is committed to providing authors with a timely yet thorough evaluation of their submitted manuscripts. The publication process involves several clearly defined stages, each designed to ensure scientific rigor, editorial quality, and adherence to ethical standards.

Stage 1: Preliminary Assessment (7–10 Days)

Upon submission, the manuscript undergoes an initial screening by the Editorial Office and the Editor-in-Chief. During this stage, the manuscript is evaluated for relevance to the journal's scope, completeness of submission documents, adherence to formatting and author guidelines, and an initial plagiarism check. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic submission requirements or fall outside the scope of JMRCE will be returned to the corresponding author at this stage with appropriate feedback.

Stage 2: Peer Review (14–21 Days)

Manuscripts that pass the preliminary assessment are assigned to two independent peer reviewers through a double-blind peer review process. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript for scientific accuracy, methodological soundness, originality, clinical relevance, and clarity of presentation. Reviewers are typically given two weeks to submit their recommendations, though extensions may be granted upon request.

Stage 3: Author Revision (7–14 Days)

If the reviewers recommend revisions, the corresponding author will be notified with detailed reviewer comments and a specified deadline for resubmission. Authors are expected to address each comment point by point and submit a revised manuscript along with a response letter. The revised manuscript may undergo a second round of review if the changes are substantial.

Stage 4: Final Editorial Decision (3–5 Days)

Following satisfactory revision and reviewer approval, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on acceptance or rejection. The corresponding author is formally notified of the decision.

Stage 5: Production and Publication (7–14 Days)

Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, typesetting, proofreading, and DOI allocation. Authors will receive a final proof for review and approval before the article is published online on the JMRCE website.
