Article Processing Fees
The Journal of Medical Research and Clinical Evidence (JMRCE) is committed to making scholarly publishing accessible to researchers, clinicians, and academicians across all settings — regardless of institutional funding or geographic location.
JMRCE does not charge any Article Processing Charges (APC) or Publication Fees.
There are no hidden costs at any stage of the publication process. Specifically, the following are completely free of charge:
Why Is JMRCE Free?
JMRCE believes that financial constraints should never be a barrier to the dissemination of quality medical research and clinical evidence. Many early-career researchers, postgraduate medical residents, and clinicians from resource-limited settings produce valuable scholarly work that deserves a platform — and that platform should not come with a price tag.
How Does JMRCE Sustain Itself?
JMRCE operates on a self-funded, community-supported model. The Managing Editor, a practicing radiologist, personally funds the core operational costs of the journal — including hosting, domain registration, plagiarism screening tools, and DOI allocation — as a commitment to supporting medical education and research dissemination.
In addition, JMRCE is fortunate to have the support of well-wishers from the medical and academic community who contribute voluntarily toward the journal's upkeep. These contributions are made purely out of a shared belief in the value of free and ethical academic publishing.
JMRCE does not rely on author fees, advertising revenue, or commercial sponsorships. This independence allows the journal to maintain complete editorial integrity without any external influence on its publication decisions.
We recognize that this model requires sustained personal commitment, and we are proud to offer it as long as it remains feasible. Should the situation ever change, any future policy revision will be communicated transparently and well in advance to the author community.
No Charges — No Exceptions
Unlike many journals that waive charges selectively or introduce fees after acceptance, JMRCE maintains a straightforward and transparent policy: there are no charges at any stage, for any author, from any country. This policy applies to all manuscript types including original research articles, review articles, meta-analyses, case reports, case series, and brief communications.
Commitment to Authors
JMRCE remains dedicated to transparent, ethical, and author-friendly publishing. Our goal is to provide a high-quality, peer-reviewed platform that supports medical research without placing a financial burden on its contributors.
